The devil’s theme song is probably about twisting. He loves to twist his pointy feet and shake his horns towards the sky as his sulfur tongue twists the words God lets us say or even what God Himself speaks to us through the bible.
It’s his main specialty that he practiced from the very start of creation when he twisted God’s words to the first people in the garden of Eden.
Then he continued to do this through all the ages as God’s servants were attacked by his dance of twisting. He must have excellent shoes for they have sustained his moves through ages.
So he had a party when Christ came to earth. Oh how he twisted and misinterpreted all the words that Christ spoke and that God spoke about Christ. He let them call Christ this and that and so on.
In the desert he tried his best twists on Jesus. But watch out devil, when it comes to moves, God moves like no other with such an ease and holiness.
God liked it when king David danced with all his might to honor Him. All the demons of hell were angry at this display of love and trust in His Words as His holiness filled the ark that was with His people
Equipped with Diamonds
All servants of God are supposed to be able to withstand the attacks of satan.
God equips us for it.
But some of us have to be battling more twistings than others it seems.
We all have our different destinies and works that God has ordained for us.
Solomon was a king of peace so he could build the temple.
David was a war king so he could prepare the building of the temple.
We all do the things we have to do ordained by God to build His temple in us and others through the Holy Spirit who guides us, speaks through us and blesses us and others through us.
I know of two prophets specifically who had to stand and fight against the twisting of the devil more than anyone else except for Christ of course..
They are Jeremiah and Ezekiel.
God had told them when He called them that they were going to face strong opposition, but that He would make them strong as Diamond to stand in the middle of the battles raging around them and to speak the Word of God though it would be twisted time and time again. (Ezekiel 3,Jeremiah 1).
So at times all the people were against them, just like with Christ.
All the apostles left Him when He was about to finally complete God’s will for His life.
He went to the cross alone, deserted by many. But through it all He saved all people and had victory over the twister.
Paul was often alone also saying that all had left him, but that Christ was still with Him.
There are many who experienced this, like Joseph, Moses and others.
It often is a lonely road on the way to our destinies especially right before God fulfills His will in our lives.
Daniel was thrown in the Lion’s den betrayed by his colleagues and even the king who was his friend could not help him. But as he sat all alone surrounded by the twist demons, God was with Him and took him out of the pit to reign with the king.
Diamonds for me
When God called me as I read His words, He let me know that I would have the same task like Ezekiel and Jeremiah and would have the same twister who would attack me.
But He would let me be strong as diamonds to stand against the twister with his pointy shoes.
So you know what, diamonds can indeed be a best friend when God equips you with it spiritually to overcome the devil.
Now I’m sure the devil likes the title of this message, so hey, let him twist away his pointy shoes.
Blessings and love in Christ,
Monique
