DO YOU LOVE ME

"So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me more than these?" John 21:15

Jesus wants our love to be true to Him. He asked one of His disciples Simon Peter three times if he really loved Him.

Now why would Jesus do that?

First things first; Simon's love for Christ had failed three times before, but he was grieving about his unfaithful love for Christ.

So when Christ was resurrected He forgave Peter and gave him the opportunity to confirm his love to Him three times, to symbolize His forgiveness to him for every time Simon Peter had failed Him.

His message to all

Christ extends this same question throughout all ages to you and I many times.

"Do you love Me?"

It sounds without a sound through your heart and mine as we go through our day from sunrise to moonlight.

As we view and are moved by the glory of nature whispering His love to us, do we resound our love to Him from our heart even without knowing Him?

With every deed we do the question is presented;"Do you love Me?"

For every deed will be viewed by Him in the light of His love and ways.

What can you say to His love for you today?

Just gaze into the skies, soak in the wonder of the trees and flowers, the sea, moonlight, sunshine.

He speaks even through creation and extends His whisper of love to you, day by day, night by night until your eyes close to be with Him forever.

Blessings and love in Christ,

Monique
