ILLUMINATE ME

 

Introduction:

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 

Praise God for lifting us up when we fall down and for giving us wings like an eagle to soar on the wind of His love. I'm finally able to soar again so enjoy!

                             "Let there be light," Genesis 1:3

I like to have as much light as possible in my house, so I let as much sunshine in and at night I turn on my lights. I can see clearly and enjoy my surroundings.

Light brings joy. Imagine playing your favorite instrument or reading a book in the dark. It would be hard to do so.
But with the light turned on I happily play on my piano and read about God's love.
We would not be able to recognize one another in the dark also.
Think of all the trouble that could bring.
No, we definitely cannot live without light!

Christ is the light of our lives.
If you believe in Him, you have eternal life.

“In him was life, and that life was the light of men.” John 1:4

When sin entered the world and death became the ruler of the world, God sent His light, His life through Jesus to us, to drive away the darkness of sin and death.
We definitely cannot live without Him.

He's madly in love with us and can't wait for us to see how wonderful He truly can be. He wants to shower us with His precious love.
I guess you know the feeling.

If you love someone deeply you want to shower him/her with your precious love.
It's a kind of cloudy feeling that tranquilizes your mind and puts everything into slow motion. Just like in the movies when they want to emphasize a romantic scene, they let a lovely lady run to her lover and it's all in slow motion, like a dream.

Jesus is our dream come true. He gives us happiness, love, joy beyond comprehension and tranquilizes you with His love.
But sometimes we get tossed around by the storms of this world and they blow away the cloudy feeling of His love.
Emptiness and fear take its place instead and we can't go on.

The love of Christ is unfailing.
He will illuminate us with His love until the end of time.

He sends help to us and shines His love once again in us to drive away the gloom of death. Praise His wonderful name!
He opens our eyes through the illumination of His light to behold Him, to get to know Him better, to show us the blessings He wants to give us.

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” Ephesians 1:17-19

When you're in love you want to know this person better and reveal more of yourself to him/her also. You want to be as one.

The light of God is wisdom to us. In His light we see the true light.

“For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.”
Psalm 36:10

We only get to truly know Him by reading His word in the light of His Holy Spirit.
He opens the eyes of our heart to know Him from heart to heart, from spirit to Spirit.

True love is being one in heart and spirit.
This union is then expressed by being one in the body at the wedding night.

Often people have the wrong picture in mind when they think of love.
They first think of the union of the body, that's why many indulge in sex before the marriage. This is not the right way to follow.

First you have to become one in heart and spirit.
Only God knows who He has destined to share this unity with you forever.
He will guide you to this love of your life.

So get to know your heart's desire, open your heart to Jesus who is the love of your life and be illuminated by His Spirit.
You will come to know Him in a divine way and you will be able to grasp the mystery of love.

“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17b-19 

Open up your heart with me so we can be one with Him forever.
