IN HIS ARMS

Who is Christ?

Well the bible tells us that Christ is the Son of God, but also that He is God Himself. He’s part of the Trinity of God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Have people seen Him?

Yes, He walked the earth 2000 years ago, died, but is alive after being resurrected and has been seen by many through all ages.

The apostle John saw Him and many others. He can appear like a man or with His glorified appearance.

”I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lamp stands, and among the lamp stands was someone "like a son of man,”dressed in a robe reaching down to His feet and with a golden sash around His chest.

His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.

In His right hand he held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.” (Revelation 1:12-16)

Why does He love us?

Now that’s a difficult question since we all at one time have broken His commandments and hurt Him.

I tried to figure it out, but had to give up and realized that to love all people is something Godly.
It’s His nature, His being, to love all people even the ones that hurt Him.

Only through Him can we also love all people, without Him we will fail miserably.

Why does He want our love?

I guess because He loves us.

Well the fact is that He loves us so much He gave His life to save us from eternal condemnation because we have sinned.

Now many people come to God only to receive from Him, not many come to give Him what He wants from us; our love.

God is a person and has emotions just like we have but in Him there is no evil, He is holy, kind and loving.

Do you want to know Him?

Some do others don’t.

They don’t mostly because they think they don’t need Him since all is well in their life.

But still many who have seen all the glory that life can give, must acknowledge that there is always this feeling that keeps longing for something unknown, something greater than themselves and what the world can give.

So sometimes they do their best to fill up the gap, but they never reach the fulfillment of their longing since it is only found in God’s love.

How do we come to know Christ?

You can come to know Him anywhere at any time.

It’s just a matter of opening your heart to Him and talking to Him in prayer. Pouring out your heart to Him and asking Him forgiveness of sins.

To be forgiven of sins is important for sins separate us from God. Christ took away our sins on the cross already, but we have to accept what He did for us.

Prayer is just talking to God, it’s not a religious mysterious thing, just a plain simple talk to the One who loves us and made us.

When we open our heart in sincerity Jesus will make Himself known to us and fill us with His love that surpasses understanding.

It’s like coming home and finding rest in the Arms we were meant to be in.

So no matter who we are, where we are, what we do, or have done,

God’s arms are waiting to embrace us to give us that place of spiritual and emotional rest that we were longing for since the day we were born.

Blessings and love in Christ,
Monique
