ON THIS CHRISTMAS DAY

On this Christmas Day I light my candle just for you
Looking down from heaven you may see it shining in the dark
reflections of love for you so true

Singing Hallelujah praise to the King
With  choirs of Angels angelic praise to God you bring

Surrounded by all once slain through mankind’s fall
Little children man and woman embraced by God
peacefully awaiting the last trumpet call


Dark horse white horse riding through heaven’s plains
looking down from above anticipating their appointed ways

Ribbons and roses presents wrapped in silver and gold
hearts warmed by the wonder of the sweetest love ever told

Bakers baking bread
Women and children in line now dead

Christmas lights shining bright
Damping the battle cry in the heat of the fight

Hark the herald Angels sing
Glory to Christ the coming King

Peace in heaven evil on earth
Still through the dark our praises like lightning spark

Once upon a time many Christmases ago
Redemption of mankind on us in mercy bestowed
turning sins red as scarlet whiter than snow


Longings unspeakable yearning
Those in Heaven those on Earth
holding on to the faith deep inside their heart of hearts burning

Praying to God Rays of Light Rays of Love radiating from His nail scarred Hands
May renew restore mankind and all creation
as Justice Mercy and Love from His Heart even on this day to us descends
