REFLECTING THE EYES OF GOD

"who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.

These have come so that your faith of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter1:5-9

To have faith means to believe, but to believe in what in whom?

The bible says that faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1)

Many people have faith in themselves in their own abilities.

Nothing seems wrong with that except for the fact that we are human and often times fail to live up to our own expectations and those of others.

When this happens we are devastated at times.

We all should have faith in God who never fails us, this is asked from us by God Himself. He wants us to believe that He exists.

He wants us to believe, to be sure of the fact that He is kind loving and forgiving and that we can have eternal life instead of eternal condemnation through faith in the salvation Christ brought to us.

We also need to believe in every Word that He says and every promise He makes.

God is love and when we believe in Him we believe in love.

As we do His will to love others we change from glory to glory until we will become like He is; Love as pure as gold.

The eyes of God

So often God will throw us in the fire of trials and adversity and we may cry, die inwardly of pain and so on, but when it’s all said and done we find ourselves to have become even more precious in the sight of God as we reflect His being of love to its full extend.

It’s this reflection of love as pure as gold that He so earnestly desires from us.

So as our faith in Him who is love, is purified through the fire,  love emerges from the ashes of our pain to shine as gold reflecting the eyes of Christ, the eyes of God, who is love.

This is our salvation ; to become like He is, to be true sons and daughters of the One who is the personification of  Love Divine.

This is how we have eternal life when we become like Him who is eternal, when we become the very being of love.

Love in Christ,
Monique

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

 Love never fails.
