JUST BEFORE DAWN

Just before dawn when the moon goes to sleep
Just before the rays of sunlight sink into the deep

Many thoughts rush through my mind
For them a place of rest I can't seem to find

Will the butterflies fly as the wind passes by in the early morning parade
Will I hear the cry of the oppressed in the stormy waves of fate

What will there be, I don't know but I wish I did
just before the dawn of the breaking of day

Shall there be a morbid dance of tidle waves washing souls to unknown shores
Will the mountains stain the grounds with burning ash once more

Is there a place in mind in heart where thoughts in peaceful tranquility rest
It all just seems to be a noble quest

Then just before dawn, just before the breaking day
I find the rest I longed to find in the heart of the Author of reason and rhyme

To the multitudes of thoughts He speaks
sunlight bursting forth on soothing rays of comfort

Before dawn just before the day

I am written I am found
A living scripture created by the Hand of God

Blessings and love in Christ,
