WHEN DADDY

When daddy doesn’t love me the stars lose their shine
When daddy’s not my harbor of peace and tranquility
the angels up above in shock and disbelief dine


I dream of what my daddy’s supposed to be
his loving arms surrounding me
his gentle eyes assuring unconditional love
hovering over my life like a dove


Can ice melt like wax
Can stone be softened to cotton
Can daddy’s love be forever without stopping


Father up above hold me with Your gentle touch
Mend my heart broken from the very start

Daddy doesn’t love me but You do
Carry me in Your Spirit please see me through

Dear Father save all those little broken hearts
Save us and from us never part

Dear daddy for you I pray that your heart may see some day
the suffering and pain you inflicted on me in every way



Jesus loves you and so do I
with my angels on the wings of grace we fly

Dear daddy I wish you could be with me
when finally forever cherished
in my Father’s Arms Eternally I will be
