“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.
For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?
Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
What harmony is there between Christ and Belial?
What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols?

For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."
"Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."
"I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

The way of the world is not the way of God.
The early church followed the pure way of God; Jesus Christ.
He is the way, the truth and the life.
The Holy Spirit dwelled in their bodies; they were His temple and were performing great miracles through Him.

Thousands of people gave their hearts to Jesus on just one day.
We don't see events like this happening anymore.
The whole body of Christ is in labor pain.
God's Spirit wants to give birth to the image of Christ in us, but many of us are yoked together with unbelievers.

Many Christians follow the way of the world.
They don't have the fruits of the Spirit, but bare unrighteous fruits.
I'll try to give you some examples.

Many Christian women dress themselves in a worldly manner; short skirts, short blouses. They want to look sexy.
They grief the Holy Spirit and defile the temple of God and have become a temple for the devil. The Holy Spirit cannot work through them the way He wanted to. The beauty of our bodies should be admired only, by the one God places at our side.

At work many Christians laugh along with unbelievers about dirty jokes or they will participate in gossip. They are afraid of being left out and laughed at.

Music is a powerfool tool to influence people. I used to listen to secular music before I gave my heart to the Lord.
But after I became a Christian I stopped doing it because I noticed it influences your behavior.
Many Christians don't know that there's a danger in this.

I've heard testimonies on how it changed some Christians, they became aggressive and unholy until they stopped listening.
There's so much wonderful music written and performed by Christian artist.
We don't need to turn to the world. God's Spirit will touch you when you listen to someone who is filled with Him.

There is a price to pay for following God.
Jesus said that we should consider the costs when we decide to follow Him.
If you love Him you will obey Him.
It's not easy but His Spirit will help you and comfort you.

His love is everlasting and saves you from condemnation.
He renews your spirit and you are made alive in Him.
Without Him you are like a living dead heading for the eternal fire.

You can experience joy beyond comprehension, that comes from the Spirit, together with other Christians.
Do you want God to use you just like He intended?
Serve God with your whole heart and He will reward you greatly! We can create the same scenery as in the beginning of the early church.

We need to follow Him with all of our heart!

Let's be Holy warriors together!!

Love, Monique
