Christmas is almost near. People decorate their homes, buy gifts and experience the merry feeling of this season. It’s indeed the most wonderful season.
Christ brought new life to you and me. Imagine the King of Kings being born in a manger.
His mother was a wonderful woman, not a queen on earth but to God she was a queen, fit to bare a King.
His earthly father was a carpenter, not a King, but he was trained in obeying the true King and was worthy of raising the King of Kings.
God looks at the heart of a person. He’s not impressed with our capabilities, but with our love and obedience to Him.
He came for the lost and lonely; He looks for them wherever they are.
The world does not care about lost and lonely people. They only want glitter and success.
But God so loved people that He gave His only begotten son, Christ, to give us true life that will last forever. To be truly alive is not indulging yourself in the riches and pleasures of material things and of the flesh.
You are truly alive when Christ comes to open your eyes to the real you. He has created us to be sons and daughters of the living God. Imagine that!
So open up your heart this Christmas season and let Christ be born into your heart and mind.
He will wipe away your fears and anxieties and you will experience peace and love in the midst of a world that has lost its identity.
Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!!!!
With love,
Monique Braam
