Weekly Devotional

Finally here is this weeks devotional! I've been away for a few days. Trying to relax a little bit, but it was rather exhausting. We were on the move from morning ‘till evening.
I hardly had time to pray and seek Gods face.

Sometimes you get caught up in life's whirlwind and it just doesn't stop.
Well I am glad to have my wonderful meetings with the Lord again.
And I promised Him that I would never ever neglect our time together no matter what. You see we all need to come into His presence daily or else we will grow weak in the spirit.

Often Christians think they are on vacation here on earth and they get caught up in life's pleasures and sorrows. But we are not tourist but heavenly rescue workers on a saving mission.
The devil likes to take up all of our time filling it with worldly things, so we neglect our work and let people around us die in their sins. Not showing them the way out of their problems.

That is why Jesus said : “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.” ( Luke 24:34)

 There will come a day when we are going to be called to our place in heaven. If we are occupied with earthly matters we will not hear the call.
And like the wife of Lot we will be left behind to suffer the wrath of God with the other earthly inhabitants.

She turned into a pillar of salt because she turned around, to where her heart was, and saw the destruction of the city. She was supposed to look into Gods direction but didn't.

So seek first the Kingdom of God and all your needs will be met. No need to worry yourself with earthly matters, look into Gods direction and He will take care of you.

He will equip you for the rescue work you need to do.
