It’s important to treasure God’s Word and to ponder it in your heart.
Mary knew the importance of this. She treasured the Word the angel spoke to her concerning the birth of Jesus. Every Word of God was valuable to her.
She believed God’s Word and it came to pass in her life.

The shepherds in the valley had seen an angel who told them about the birth of Christ and that He was the Savior. They went to see Him and told Mary and Joseph what they had heard from the angel. Again Mary treasured God’s Word.

“But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.” Luke 2:19

When they brought Jesus to the temple to present Him to the Lord, Simeon spoke to Mary about things that would happen to Christ. God knew that she treasured and believed His Word so He loved to reveal things to her.
(Luke 2:34)

“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”Psalm 119:11

I know many think this verse just means to obey His commandments so we don’t sin, but it also has a deeper meaning.
Hiding God’s Word in your heart is treasuring it, believing it.
Not believing it is a sin, because God speaks the Truth.

Sometimes God will speak to you personally through His Word.
The Holy Spirit gives you a rhema, a Word that God is directly speaking to you from the bible. You can take it seriously and treasure it like Mary or you can ignore it and miss God’s plan for your life.

Mary choose to believe God’s Word spoken to her and look at the result her action brought to the world; redemption for every soul through Christ.

What about you? Do you treasure His Word? Do you love Him?
I know He loves you and all that He wants to speak into your life are Words of  love to give you a future that shines brighter than the sun.

I don’t think anyone wants to miss this opportunity.
Treasure Him like He treasures you!

Love, Monique
