"He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
(Mark 16: 15-18)
This is the Word the Lord gave me this morning, it’s the same word He spoke to me through a sermon last night.
He said that no matter what, we should always preach the gospel of salvation.
We often get bruised and brokenhearted by the evil the devil has designed for us to ruin us. Lies people say and think about us can hurt us emotionally and we just lay down and want to die.
But God did not call us to just lay down and die because He said that in this world we will have trials but that He has overcome the world.
His great commission and commandment for us is to preach the gospel of salvation.
You don’t have to be a pastor to do that, we are all His disciples when we are washed by His blood and love Christ and others as we love ourselves.
People need to be saved from eternal condemnation by the gospel of Christ and if we just lay down and die, they will die too for all eternity.
So although my heart is broken and bruised and my whole world is caving in, one thing keeps me standing; the great commission God gave to save people as He has saved me.
And when this world is over I will be standing beside my Master and Savior Jesus Christ with all who have heard the gospel through me and He will say to us: “Well done, my good and faithful servant”
Those words coming from His divine lips will heal all our wounds and dry all our tears for all eternity.
Blessings and love in Christ,
Monique
