FOUNDATION COVER UP

Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him
and in whose spirit is no deceit.

When I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.

For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.
Selah

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity.

I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD "— and you forgave the guilt of my sin. (Psalm 32:1-5)

A good foundation crème can give a flawless complexion to the skin.

Many people like to use it daily as they like to look flawless.

Somehow it’s embedded in us to be flawless at least on the outside and people tend to visit the plastic surgeon like going to the mall just to be pleasing to others.

They suffer lots of pain and so on just to please others.

Sadly enough many people don’t even try to start being flawless on the inside and please their Creator Christ the Lord.

I guess it’s because He’s not visible to the human eye.

So often times people tend to sin when no one is watching forgetting that God is watching them day and night.

It’s a tendency to cover up our sins to look flawless to others but God can see every sin we so anxiously try to hide.

There’s no spiritual foundation crème available now, nor has their ever been.

Adam and his cover up leaves

When Adam and Eve tried to fabricate foundation crème for sins in the garden, God saw right through it all.

Right then and there God’s heavenly spiritual surgeon hands started to ordain the best surgery to ever be done; He was going to transform Himself into the likeness of mankind.

And He would give us the most flawless spiritual complexion through the forgiveness through His blood on the cross.

Now there’s your priceless foundation crème, it renews our minds and is the everlasting fountain of life.

And the most wonderful part of this all is that it is completely free.

All we have to do is this: Confess our sins to God and clean up our act to the outside world.

Many in the bible tried to cover up their sins from others and forgot God could see it clearly.

Robe of sin

“Then Joshua said to Achan, "My son, give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, and give him the praise.

Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me."

Achan replied, "It is true! I have sinned against the LORD, the God of Israel.

This is what I have done: When I saw in the plunder a beautiful robe from Babylonia,  two hundred shekels  of silver and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them.

They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath."
Joshua 7:19-20

Achan tried to hide his sins also.

But God wanted him to give glory to Him by confessing his sins to God and people.

I never thought of it this way, that when we confess our sins to God we are giving glory to Him.

And when we hide it we don’t, for we give glory to the devil then.

For Christ said that whoever sins is serving another master, the devil.

We cannot serve God and the devil at the same time.

When we are forgiven of sins we can be one with Him again, but sin, hidden sins or obvious ones, separate us from the union with Christ.

And the whole body of Christ will suffer from this when we hide our sins it will not benefit the body of Christ in any way.

Just like when Achan hid his sins, the Israelites were defeated by their enemies.

But when he confessed them God gave them their blessing again.

Do you have hidden sins?

What about us, do we have hidden sins?

If so then neither you nor I are giving glory to God if we keep them hidden and do not confess them to God and others.

Are you trying to cover up your sins or cover up for others just so that you or they, do not have to take responsibility for the sinful actions and clean up your/ their act before people and God?

Covering up our sins or the sins of others separates us from God, for sin separates us from Him for He is holy.

Sinning makes us slaves to it, for one lie, one cover up, leads to another and it just goes downhill from there and we move further and further from Christ.

What does it benefit us to cover up our sins and be pleasing to the world while it makes us unpleasing to God?

Think of the many people in the bible who tried to do this and how their life went downhill from there for God did punish them even though they hid their sins from the world.

Hiding sins is losing your soul to the devil

We cannot hide or run from God. His eyes see us everywhere at any time.

His ears hear us speak and think pleasing or unpleasing thoughts.

What would it benefit us if gained the whole world but lost our soul?

Hiding sins is losing your soul to the devil.

It’s better to glorify God by confessing our sins to God and men and stop sinful situations instead of continuing to hide our sins from the outside world.

When we allow people to be wronged and keep silent about it because we want to look flawless to the world and not to God, God is not glorified in any way by this.

The devil is and we have lost our soul because sin seperates us from God.

Some think that they can confess their sins in secret to God but still let people be wronged in a situation.

This is sinful and unjust and not glorifying God.

People have to confess and repent.

No matter who they are and what position they hold in society.

Repentance means to not sin or allow sinful situations to continue.

So let us not try to hide our sins but glorify God today and always by confessing and repenting and doing the right thing; loving God and people in a holy way like we love ourselves.

Blessings and love in Christ,
