LONELINESS

So many people are lonely and hurting, there's an empty place in their heart.
Love, joy and peace were supposed to be in that special place, but it's empty.

Maybe an abusive parent, spouse, another person, or circumstance robbed them of the happiness that was supposed to be theirs.
Their inner being is lonely at night and stares at that special place that remains empty, night after night, year after year.

Many people suffer while they are unaware of God's existence.
But being in God's presence doesn't mean you will endure no pain and sufferings.
I know!
It's hard to imagine why God would let us go through the fire of pain.
Why doesn't He just fill our special place?

As I was praying tonight, The Lord pointed out Matthew 17 to me.

“After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves . There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.” Matthew 17:1-2 ( New International version)

“And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart , And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Matthew 17:1-2 (King James version)

Gods Spirit opened my eyes to see what He wanted to show me through this word.

The Lord took only a few of his disciples, they were carefully chosen for this happening.Later these three disciples had a very powerful ministry; they wrote several books of the New Testament that have led many to salvation.

They were chosen to climb a high mountain with Jesus and at the top of the mountain something wonderful happened.
They could see Jesus as He really was, in all His power and glory.
He did not reveal His glory when they were at the foot of the mountain.
Sure they have seen Him perform miracles; healing sick raising the dead.
But He never transformed His body like this. Only after a heavy climb did they truly come to know Him.

There can be a high mountain of distress in your life that you are climbing alone.
But you are not alone. God is with you even if you don't know Him yet.
He wants to lead you to the right spot of your mountain of distress so He can reveal His glory to you in a way you have never seen before.
When you behold it, you will be able to climb down.

I colored “by themselves” and “apart” in the passage, because the Spirit of God pointed it out to me.
To be by yourself and to be set apart in a way means to be lonely.
There was nobody else with them there.
When the pain hits you, you feel utterly alone.
There's no one there with you, in the darkness of your heart, while you stare at the empty place. It's a lonely climb up to the top of the mountain.

Did God place that mountain there? I believe the enemy of God placed the mountain, but God already provided a way out.
He'll lead you for you were chosen by Him to become His child.
He wants to reveal Himself as a Father to all who don't know Him, and to the ones who already know Him, He wants to reveal himself in a way they never knew before.

My mountain has led me closer and closer to Him. I wouldn't have reached out to Him so desperately if I had stayed at the foot of the mountain.
I wouldn't have come to know Him so intimately as I do know.
I feel though that I have not reached the top of the mountain yet and the climb remains heavy, but somehow it gets more bearable the higher I get.
Because God holds me tighter and tighter and carries my burdens.

I now reveal it to you so you can climb the mountain with me knowing that we are not alone. Jesus, the Messiah reigns and we will prevail!!

Many who have suffered severely are now helping others.
Joyce Meyer who has been sexually abused, also is a blessing to many people today.
Just like Peter, John and James, they were led up the mountain and they came down restored. The glory of God was revealed to them.

So no matter how high your mountain is. Take my hand, Jesus will lead us to the top and reveal to us His glory. He will lead us to the Father's throne and dry our tears.
We will never hurt again! Love will be with us forever!
