NORTHERLY WINDS
In the news on the net they said that they don't understand why instead of south-western winds there are northerly winds dominating the weather.
These winds seem to blow the ash clouds to Europe. Furthermore they said that we are at the mercy of the volcano without knowing how long it can erupt.
This, to me sounds so without hope and even desperate.
Quite contrary to what God's news the bible, tells us.
God's Spirit is like the wind blowing from His Kingdom in heaven way up in the North, to fill our hearts as we reach out in love to Him.
"When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them." Acts 2:1-4
His Holy Spirit dominates human spirits and spirits of angels and demons. And as some may set out to do their own will, God's will super cedes ours and is the only thing that will happen in the end.
He really has the whole world in His hand.
Beauty for ashes, Gladness instead of mourning
"and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor." Isaiah 61:3
While the wind spreads volcanic ashes around the world resulting in fear and despair, the Wind of the Holy Spirit turns the ashes of our sorrow into joy as we are transformed from glory to glory until our character becomes as beautiful as that of His Holy Spirit and we reflect His splendor of Divine Love.
Mankind can walk on other planets and do so many marvelous things but we are not able to control the wind, the sea, the shaking of the earth, the eruptions of volcano's and many other things.
We are definitely living in the days just before Christ will take His Bride home and pour out His wrath on this fallen world.
The bible describes the very things we are seeing nature do around the world recently.
People are panicking at the roaring of the sea as tsunamis and floodings rage, Oil pollutes the waters and beaches.
So what will it be for you;
Earth's ashes that bring distress or the ashes the fire of The Holy Spirit produces as He melts our character to resemble His.
Oil that pollutes the waters or the oil of the Holy Spirit who anoints us to be a fountain of living water to spread the love and life of God.

"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
He told them this parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the trees.
When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near.
Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
"I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
"Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.
For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man." Luke 21:25-36
