ONCE IN A THOUSAND YEARS
Once in a thousand years; doesn't that sound exciting?
This was recently said about the solar eclipse that took place on January the 15th of this year.
It was the longest eclipse and it lasted 11 minutes.
This happens only once in a thousand years, the next one will be in the year 3034.
Oh, that sounds far away!
As I watched the eclipse on TV I realized that a thousand years ago and a thousand years from now
(maybe in the millenium of peace, the book of Revelations), people saw and may see this same wondrous event.
How thrilling to be exactly in this cycle of a thousand years.
Were we meant to see this, to live in this time? When we were born was there also a star in the sky to announce it to heaven and earth, like the star of Christ?
I wonder how the wise men knew that the star was the sign of the birth of Christ, the King of the Universe.
The angels are also called stars, so maybe it was His angel that appeared like a light in the sky to show them the way to where He was born.
"The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lamp stands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lamp stands are the seven churches.(Revelations 1:20)
The bible says that people have guardian angels, for every person one or more? How wonderful!
The mystery roar of the universe
I read that last year in January there was an article that spoke about a mystery roar, a strange noise out of the distant universe, a sound in space that could not be explained by scientists.
They wondered if the Lion of Judah, God, was speaking to us.
God does indeed speak to us through even the universe.
"I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Acts 2: 19-21
At the beginning of this year the elements of nature were very unusual; earthquakes, heavy snowfall, floodings and ofcourse the solar eclips of a thousand year cycle.
Are these signs from God, are we living in the last days before the great tribulation of seven years, where His wrath will be poured out on earth because people refused to repent?
A glimpse into the future
I am recently again reading the book of Revelations in the Bible, it's a glimpse into the future of the world.
It tells of the departure of the followers of Christ to meet Christ in the Sky and of the entrance of the antichrist who will rule the world for seven years, marking people with his sign 666 that gives them a ticket to hell and for the wrath of God during the seven years.
It's an awesome book, letter, writing in the bible, with much suspense and symbolism.
There are many books written to explain it, so it's easier to understand and to relate it to the world events of the time we were chosen to live in.
Sometimes it sends shivers down my spine when I realize that what I'm reading in the bible about the future is actually happening right now in the world.
The Bible is the most thrilling book to read, it gives joy and awareness that everything that is told in it comes to pass.
Faster than the speed of light
Is it superman, the flash?
Well no, it's just regular people who want to break free from the theory of relativity so they can travel faster than light to the distant light of far away galaxies to find the origin of life.
Many people are fascinated by the thought of life somewhere in the galaxies and they search for it and its origin with all the technology available to men.
But the Universe only shows us a glimpse of its past as the light of its stars only reaches us years after they have moved further into the future even into non existence.
There's no way for us to get around the relativity theory and so we can't travel far enough and fast enough to ever reach the light of life that has long been gone. Frustrated?
Well no, We need not travel far nor fast to see life and its origin. Just drive to a bookstore, get a Bible and start reading.
You'll soar through galaxies of the Spiritual world you were born into as your star graced the sky when your very existence was called forth.
It starts with Genesis in Paradise and ends with Revelations in Paradise again.
It starts at our Origin and ends at our Destiny. In between is a journey of mankind lost in the wilderness that lies between the lost and found Paradise described in Genesis and Revelations.
In the middle of the wilderness journey, God sends Christ to get us ready for Paradise, through the forgiveness of our sins and He sends the best tour guide ever; The Holy Spirit.
A ticket for this journey requires no money you don't even need extra clothes or shoes; just you, the cleansing blood of Christ and a white robe that God gives as the transition from wilderness to Paradise starts.
