The flowers withered as the cold wind rushed through the meadow
birds and bees in confusion around the trees circling the barren shadows
Wasn't spring supposed to be a wondrous sight
The season of resurrected warmth and light
Yet how conflicting this sudden spring of society
completely contrary to nature's philosophy
Thousands in Arabia's darkest nights
reciting tales that do not warm the hearts
in search of a happy end
Yet finding themselves entangled by freedom robbing ideologies of others disguised as brothers

Meanwhile on the other continents politics of another time roam the stages
taking Democracy back to the dark mystifying Middle Ages
Many
in high places endeavor to invoke the Spring of Division
Separating "commoners" from the "elite" through subtle selfish decisions

Raising the cost for education
removing the key to unlocking progress in manifold dimensions in those less fortunate
eradicating the source of strength guarding the undisputable God given rights to the meek
and even to the obstinate
Mankind's Spring in Reverse
erasing God's blessings through a curse
Yet through it all the defenders of Freedom stand strong
Looking for ways to reinstate values that seem gone

Flowers and trees still flourish through Nature's Spring
The sun keeps celebrating in midair as the awakening of life once more begins

Let us never endorse the oppression of God's creation
let the waves of God's Love flow from our hearts to every soul in every nation
In His image we were made
destined to live in His dignity Divine
from the very first Spring to the Infinity of God's never ending Time

Blessings and love in Christ,
Monique
